Jaren's 3rd Birthday

Well since Our baby girl will be making her arrival tomorrow morning and Jaren's Birthday is Tuesday, we celebrated it today. My mom is here for the next week and a half and Dad was here for the weekend and is heading back to the job where he is building a lodge around Gettysburg. I tried to make Jaren a Cupcake Cake shaped like a bear. Tried is the Key word. It didn't turn out the way I wanted it to but at least I tried. Here are a few pictures

Well on Thursday I go for my last appointment and then Monday April 16th is the scheduled C section day. That would make Jaren and Baby girl's birthdays 1 day apart. Jaren on the 17th and her on the 16th. That is all set unless I go earlier which I wouldn't mind.

Had a Dr. appt yesterday and Dr. said eveything is going good. Last week my platelets were low so I am on an Iron Supplement until She comes. I am 36 1/2 weeks so its getting close. Scheduled C Section is in 2 1/2 weeks!

Children's Museum in Johnstown

Also a couple weeks ago we had Jeremy and Tricia Morford and their kids here for the weekend. It was DJ's Birthday that Sunday so on Saturday we all went to the Children's Museum in Johnstown. The kids really enjoyed it and there was also an immigrant museum in the same building. You became a immigrant character for the entire trip through the museum and scanned your card to find out more about who you would be and what you would do if you had been that person.

Baby Shower

A couple weeks ago the ladies in the church did a baby shower for our little girl who will soon be arriving. It was a fun evening and she got several nice things. They were trying to keep it a surprise but I knew something was up when everyone started arriving a 1/2 hour early. :) Thank you Ladies for the wonderful evening. Ladies Night

Here at Portage we have Ladies night every 6-8 weeks. We have had 1 since coming here and I really enjoyed it. It was Feb. 13 so I decorated for Valentines and did a devotional about our relationship to God and others. Sis Smith did a couple games and then we had a snack. Everyone brought some type of snack and we all enjoyed that. Here are a few pictures from that night. When I took them not everyone had arrived but most were there. It was a great evening and our next one will be in a couple weeks.

Jaren got a Big monkey for Christmas from Grandma Hellmann. It didn't have clothes so I took some of Jaren's and put them on it.

OB Appt.

Hi,
I had a dr. visit today and they did an ultrasound. I will put some of the ultrasound pics on that they gave us. Everything is going well as far as they can tell. I am 32weeks 1day but baby girl measured 4 days ahead of that. They are not changing my due date but by technicality she is measuring at 32wks 5days.
We are getting excited for her to come. Today we got to see her yawn and wave with her hand. Jaren got to be in there and we said look Jaren she is waving at you. He doesn't quite get the concept yet but it was neat having him see her in action rather than just telling him there's a baby in there.
They are doing my c-section 1 week early so she will be arriving no later than April 18th. They offered us the 17th but with that being Jaren's Birthday we kinda want them to have separate days. She could also choose her own date before that too which would be fine.

This last one is a straight on view. You can see her eyes, nose, mouth and chin. The eyes are 2 dark circles then nose is lighter colored and mouth is dark wide mark. Her face is sideways and not up and down. Hope you can find all the features. :)

Praise and Prayer

One year ago yesterday we had been in the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital with Jaren for several days. But we got the wonderful news that Jaren's blood counts had come up a long ways! All the praise goes to God for his healing.
So yesterday we decided to make it a celebration day. We left for town and was going to do some special things. Jaren had been fussy but we didn't think much of it till we realized he couldn't stand up straight and kept crying and pointing to his diaper. Thinking he needed changed I checked and found that it was afternoon and he still hadn't urinated. His stomach was hard and I knew we had a major problem. So off to the hospital we went and we found out that he had a blockage. They did a bladder scan and he had 405ML of urine which at his age he should go at 100ML. So he was MISERABLE! The ER was able to give him relief but is referring us to PIT Children's Urologist. Jaren's appt is Monday at 11am. In the mean time we have to make sure everything doesn't close off again or we have to take him in again. If this is still an issue on Monday the have said he may have to have surgery to fix the problem. I don't think they would do it on Monday but it would then be scheduled.
So once again your prayers would be appreciated on Jaren's behalf and his mommy and daddy's too.
