Busy week

There was two revivals in our area this week so we kept busy going to those. Thankfully I was able to make it. It seemed that when it got closer to the service times God would give me a touch so I could go. Bro. Mark Lemon was one of the evangelists and Bro. Ken Thompson was the other. It was good to hear both of them preach and get to visit with them some.

Well hope you all have a wonderful Lord's Day. May God bless you all.

Wind Storm 2008

Just like a lot of other people in Ohio and PA we were affected by a severe wind storm from the remnants of Hurricane Ike. They said the highest gust around here was 79mph. We lost our power about 8pm on Sunday night. Around 12:30am Dan looked outside and saw our neighbor on his roof trying to cover up lost shingles. He ran over there to help him and I followed not far behind. I stayed over with his wife while Dan and Melvin checked around our house. The pictures are what they saw. We got our power back about 11:00am Monday and were very thankful. With the help of our great neighbors were able to get everything repaired and cleaned up.

Remembering 9/11

May we always remember September 11, 2001 and those who lost loved ones at the WTC, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, PA Flight 93. Our hearts go out to them and as Americans we too share in the tragedy of that day.

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.
