Pappy's homegoing

God saw you were getting tired and a recovery was just not meant to be, so God took your hand and said to you " It's time to come Home with Me"

Our loss, heavens gain. Pappy Ritchey made the crossing into eternal bliss at 3:45 pm christmas day. The presents of God was so real in his room when he was passing. So thankful I got to be there. We arrived 20 mins before he died. We will miss his quiet, gentle and loving ways. Please remember mother and the rest of the family in prayer. "Just think of stepping on shore, and finding it heaven
Of touching a hand, and finding it God's
Of breathing new air, and finding it celestial
Of waking up in Glory, and finding it Home" we will miss you.

The Christmas journey along with Pappy's cancer.

Yesterday the kids and I went to VNA hospice center to say goodbye to a wonderful Godly man whom I am blessed beyond words to call my Pappy. Although he is still with us right now it won't be long before he makes that majestic crossing in the promised land called Heaven. In my heart however I am not ready to let him go. I know I have to yet it's so hard to do that.
This morning when I went back he squeezed my hand once again when I told him who I was and that I loved him.
When I was leaving later in the day to come home I did not tell him Goodbye but rather. "Pappy I will see you in the morning over there. On that happy golden shore"
As grandma told him this morning. "Pappy don't walk too fast for we are coming not far behind."
Pappy I love you and want you to enjoy what you have strived for your whole life and that is Jesus and Heaven!
Go and be made whole again with a new Body.

Your loving Granddaughter,
Regina

Yes Christmas will be difficult this year so if you think of it Please pray for our family.

Christmas Memories Poem

Christmas memories

Christmas is a joyful time
We spend with family and friends
We make up lovely rhyme
With the many cards we send

Memories near and dear
Come through the mind today
As we think of happy cheers
And games we loved to play

Monopoly, Dutch blitz and clue
Ping pong, phase ten and skip boo
That's just to name a few
And snacks we can't forget them too

Daddy faithfully his puzzles was doing
He put more pieces than anyone around
While the kids worked hard it just became confusing
Yet daddy knew all along and kept whistling his sound.

Mother in the kitchen baking up a storm
We never had to guess if it was good
As she gave us food so warm
Cleaning the plate so it could be filled again as she could

Yes Christmas memories great and small
Come to us all throughout the year
But comes greater to us special this season
Christ Jesus is the only reason

Christmas cookies

The kids and I made cookies the other day. They had fun using the cookie cutters and eating the dough and sprinkles. We took cookies to a,couple people today and Jaren was so excited to tell them that he helped make them.
The last photo is of Clarisa today. She is turning into such a ham when the camera comes out. Her personality is really showing up now.

Our church dinner was tonight. The pic of the kids sitting on the chairs was when they were entertaining themselves while we cleaned up. We had an enjoyable time.

Family time

Last weekend the kids and I went to my parents. My sister and nephew were in from Montana. My brother came from Salem and my other brother and sis in law and kids came too for awhile. We had an enjoyable time. Many laughs and memories that won't soon be forgotten. We were missing Dan who was at a board meeting and Susan who had had surgery and Aaron who had to continue work in MT. Wish we could have all been there but we were able to get pics of mom and dad and the 4 kids and pics with all the grandkids. Kaden and Clarisa are only 16 days apart so it was like having twins all weekend. They wanted to play with the same things whether it was the baby stroller or a truck. It was so nice having all the cousins together though and many memories were made. On a sad note my Pappy is not doing good. The cancer is very aggressive and Dr doesn't have anything more to help him. It was good to them again as well though.

Child-like faith

Tonight after Jaren had gone to bed he got up and told me his head was hurting him. I asked him if he wanted some medicine and he said yes. So I went to get the motrin and when I gave it to him he asked "Is daddy going to pray?" So I went and told Dan that Jaren wanted him to come pray with him. Dan came in and prayed and when he was done Jaren said "Daddy my head OK now. It doesn't hurt anymore". Dan told him he needs to get up in church on Sunday and thank Jesus for helping his head. Oh the faith of a child and yet we find it so hard to ask God for His help in the simplest of things. We serve a wonderful God who is interested in helping even the children.

In addition to this story my grandpa has been in the hospital for several days due to problems with his cancer. And Sunday night in devotions Jaren wanted to pray for Grandpappy so Dan helped him pray. After they were done Jaren asked "Is grandpappy OK noe that we prayed?" Talk about a hit to your already raw emotions and yet a conviction as well. Where is our faith for grandpappy's cancer. We told Jaren that we have to continue to pray for him and let Jesus decide what's best for him.

** my grandpa is doing better and is now out of the hospital. He is very weak and tired and says he wants to go nowhere for 6 weeks but the Dr appts are still there. Thank you for continued prayers * *

Family weekend/church harvest night

This week my niece and nephew had 2 days off school so I went to pick them up and bring them to our house till yesterday. Then my parents came for the weekend and my brother and sis in law came yesterday for the day and to pick up their kids. We had a fun time. Then last night we had a church harvest night. Hot dog roast and other yummy picnic stuff. We ended the evening with singing and a devotional around the bonfire. We had a wonderful time of fun food and fellowship. Some of the kids played ladder ball and corn hole. Here are few pics of the week and weekend.

The path of Life

THE PATH OF LIFE
The path of life may not always be smooth
But HE will keep us all the way through.
It does not matter how big or small.
It just matters that HE has us all.
Although we may stumble and fear we may fall
HE gently leads us through it all.
And when the waves dash at our feet
May we always know with HIM there is no defeat!

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day? It's amazing how you can remember where you were and what u were doing all those years ago yet we can't remember what we did last week. May God give comfort to the families of the fallen.

Lolo Creek Complex fire- Lolo, Montana

pic of the fire

Here is a link to a fire located not too far from my sister, brother in law and nephew. It is not heading their direction but if it continues the direction it is going it could close off their access to Missoula where they both work. They have a lot of smoke at their house though. 1200 homes are at risk and 5 have been burnt.
